Mission

Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI) fulfills its mission as a government agency responsible for guiding and managing the development and governance of industry, science, technology, and innovation, including the integration of economic and environmental aspects of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

This mission is achieved through the formulation and implementation of policies, laws, and regulations related to the leadership and management of industry, science, technology, and innovation, encompassing economic and environmental dimensions.

Roles and Functions

• Be the staff of the royal government in organizing policy, strategy, direction, and overall plans of the royal government in the fields of industry, science, technology including handicraft and potable water;
• Be the staff of the royal government in leading, coordinating, and monitoring the implementation of policy, strategy, direction, and development plan in the fields of the industry, science, technology, and innovation including handicraft and potable water;
• Lead and manage in the fields of industry science, technology, and innovation including handicraft and potable water at national and sub-national levels;
• Organize policy and development program for factories, small and medium enterprises, and handicraft and potable water;
• Coordinate, cooperate and implement research, experiment, and technology development, science, and innovation to support and promote the development of the fields of industry science, technology, and innovation including handicraft and potable water;
• Promote and support innovative technology, invention, and all initiative ideas including entrepreneurship in the fields of industry science, technology, and innovation including handicraft and potable water;
• Manage, evaluate, recognize, and provide certification, patent, useful model, and demonstrative industry;
• Organize, manage, and advertising technology and innovation;
• Organize, manage, and advertise standardization and product quality assurance;
• Act as a technical guardian on public enterprise and administrative public institution established under the capacity of the Ministry of Industry Science Technology and Innovation;
• Organize, manage, and advertise metrology affairs;
• Organize, manage, and implement potable water supply policy to city and town;
• Cooperate with regional countries, institutions, national and international organizations, and private sectors to promote the development of the fields of industry, science, technology, and innovation including handicraft and potable water.
