On 27 March 2025, the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI) and Lotus Academy Co., Ltd have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen technology education and training and contribute to Cambodia’s workforce development. The ceremony was witnessed by H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation.
The collaboration aims to equip Cambodia’s workforce with future-ready skills through reskilling, upskilling, and innovation-focused training programs. It supports national policy priorities including the Science, Technology & Innovation Roadmap 2030 and the National Research Agenda 2025.
H.E. Dr. Try Sophal, Director General of Science, Technology & Innovation, said, “This partnership reflects our commitment to preparing Cambodia’s workforce for a digital economy. High-quality, industry-aligned training will enhance our innovation ecosystem and contribute to national development.”
Mr. Andy Ng, representing Lotus Academy, stated, “Our programs in AI, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, Data Analytics, FinTech, and Green Technology will empower professionals to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape.”
Under the MOU, Lotus Academy will deliver globally recognized training and certification programs led by industry experts. Additional initiatives such as workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions will further bridge the skills gap and support Cambodia’s STI ambitions.
Andy Ng added that, “Workforce development is an ongoing journey. Through long-term engagement, we aim to build a resilient, competitive workforce that drives Cambodia toward a knowledge-based economy.”
