H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, has encouraged women entrepreneurs to champion integrity and business ethics as a foundation for long-term success and economic development.
“Integrity is key to long-term business success, and I may be biased here, but women often do better in this area and can lead by example,” Minister Vanndy said during a meeting with the Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association (CWEA) on March 19, 2025.
He also emphasized formalization, stressing soft skills, productivity improvement, and regulatory compliance.
CWEA reported that it currently has 486 members across five provincial branches and operates 10 committees focused on capacity building, business development, advocacy, and market innovation. They presented CWEA 2025-2027 strategy and its plan to host a Global Business Summit in Cambodia.
Minister Vanndy encouraged CWEA to collaborate with the National Productivity Center of Cambodia and Khmer Enterprise and engage with MISTI’s programs, including the Green Industry Awards. Additionally, he invited them to visit MISTI’s upcoming food processing facility to learn about food production that meets the Korean export market.
